This policy covers consumer health data under the Washington My Health My Data Act and the Nevada consumer health data law. It is separate from our main Privacy Policy because Washington requires it to be, and it carries only what those two laws require.
It applies to you if you are a resident of Washington or Nevada, or if your consumer health data is collected while you are in one of those states. If you are anywhere else, our Privacy Policy describes the same practices.
Effective date: October 7, 2026.
The consumer health data we collect, and why
We collect this only to provide the service you asked us for.
- Health and fitness information you give us on intake forms, liability waivers, or to your instructor, including injuries, medical conditions, surgeries, physical limitations, pregnancy or postpartum status, healthcare provider clearance, and medications relevant to exercise. We collect it to keep you safe during exercise and to decide whether a class or movement is appropriate for you.
- What you record in the meal log in our members’ app, including meal photographs, descriptions, foods and amounts, estimated calories and macronutrients, notes on how anti-inflammatory a meal appears, meal times, and water intake. We collect it so the app can produce an estimate for you and show you your own log.
- Nutrition targets you choose to save, including your goal, maintenance calories, and calorie and macronutrient targets. We collect them so the app can tailor what it shows you. We do not store the age, height or weight you type into the calorie calculator.
- What you write in a coaching application. If you apply for one to one coaching we collect your age, your employment, and your written answers about your goals, your health and what you have found difficult, including how you rate your own readiness to change. We collect it only to decide whether coaching is a fit and to reply to you.
- Measurements from a device you connect, if you choose to connect one, including steps, activity, active calories, sleep, resting heart rate during sleep, exercise minutes, walking and running distance, workouts, and your nightly temperature change from your usual (from Oura, or an Apple Watch’s sleeping wrist temperature). We collect them to show you your own activity and sleep alongside your training, and temperature only to improve your cycle estimates if you track your cycle.
- Cycle and reproductive health data, only if you turn on cycle tracking: the days of your period and its flow, LH (ovulation) test results, the symptoms you tick, your energy, and the estimates the app works out from them (your cycle day, phase, next period and fertile window). We collect it so you can see your cycle and train with it. It is never used for advertising, never shared with an advertiser, and never sent to an AI.
- Your workout history: each session, its length, and the reps and weights you logged.
Where it comes from
- Directly from you, on forms, in conversation with your instructor, through our members’ app, and on the coaching application form. The contact form does not ask a health question, and none of the four subjects you can pick is one. If you choose to write something about your body, your health or an injury in a message, we treat it the same way as anything on an intake form, and it is read only by Ana.
- From a connected device service, and only one you have chosen to connect, currently Oura, and Apple Health through our iPhone app.
- Derived by us, in the sense that the calorie, macronutrient and pattern estimates in the meal log are produced from the photograph or description you provide, and your cycle estimates are worked out from what you log and, if connected, your temperature.
The consumer health data we share
We share only what is needed to run the service, and only with the processors listed below. We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it for advertising.
- The resized meal photograph or the description you typed, so an estimate can be produced.
- A barcode number, when you photograph a barcode, so the product can be looked up. Nothing else goes with it.
- Health and fitness information you provided, and meal log, workout history, cycle and connected device records, held on our behalf in our database and file storage.
Who receives it
These are the categories of third parties, and the specific companies within them, that receive consumer health data from us. We have no affiliates.
- Infrastructure and storage providers: Supabase, which holds our database, file storage and member sign-in, and Vercel, which hosts the app on servers in the United States.
- Artificial intelligence provider: Anthropic, which receives the resized meal photograph or your description in order to produce an estimate.
- Food database: Open Food Facts, which receives a barcode number only.
- Connected device providers: Oura and Apple Health, and only the one you have chosen to connect. They send data to us; we send no health data to them.
- Booking and scheduling provider, which holds the intake and waiver information you give us for studio classes.
- Legal and safety recipients, where required by law or to protect someone’s safety, including emergency responders during a class or session.
How to exercise your rights
If you are covered by this policy, you have the right to confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data and to see a list of who receives it, the right to withdraw your consent to our collecting and sharing it, and the right to have us delete it.
To exercise any of these, email hello@feelthechemistry.co. We will respond within the time the law allows. We may ask you to sign in to an account you already have so we can confirm it is you, but we will never make you create a new account in order to make a request.
You can also act directly in the members’ app without asking us. You can delete any meal, which deletes its photograph at the same time, and you can disconnect a device, which deletes that device’s access tokens and the data we stored from it.
If we refuse a request you may appeal by replying to our response. If we deny the appeal, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
How the data is processed, and how to correct it
How it is processed. Health and fitness information you give us is read by your instructor and stored in our booking system. What you record in the meal log is stored in our database, and a resized photograph or your typed description is sent to our artificial intelligence provider so an estimate can be produced and returned to you. Meal photographs are resized in your browser before they are sent, which removes the hidden data a camera attaches to a picture, including location. We keep only a small thumbnail. Measurements from a connected device are fetched from that service about once an hour and stored against your account. All of it is held under access rules enforced by the database itself, so each member can read only her own records.
Why we share any of it. Only to run the service: to produce your estimate, to look up a product you scanned, to store your records, and to host the app. Not for advertising, not for profiling, and not for sale.
Reviewing and correcting it. There is a process and you can use it yourself. In the members’ app you can open any meal, change anything the estimate got wrong, and save the correction, or delete the meal entirely. Nutrition targets can be changed or cleared in the same place. For health and fitness information you gave us on an intake form or waiver, email hello@feelthechemistry.co and we will correct it.
Tracking across other websites. No third party collects your consumer health data over time or across other websites or online services through our members’ app. There is no advertising pixel and no analytics tool in the app.
How long we keep a coaching application. If we do not work together, we keep it for 12 months and then delete it. If we do, it becomes part of your client record and is kept as long as that is.
If we change this policy. We will post the new version here and change the effective date above. If the change is material, meaning it affects what we collect, how we use it, or who receives it, we will email you at the address on your account before the change takes effect, and where the law requires your consent we will ask for it rather than assume it.
